Welcome to the Smoke-Free Policy training. Today you will learn about health risks associated with tobacco/vape use for adults, youth and other high risk populations. You will also learn about e-cigarettes (vaping), secondhand smoke, the Smoke-Free Arizona Act and the Parks Code of Conduct Policy. This is a training for City of Phoenix Park Rangers and other Parks and Recreation staff.


Objectives:
1. Participants will understand the prevalence of tobacco/nicotine users in the general and high risk populations.
2. Participants will learn about the adverse health effects and dangers of secondhand smoke, especially in minors.
3. Participants will learn about the environmental impact of tobacco/nicotine products.
4. Participants will learn about the City of Phoenix Parks and Recreation Departments new Code of Conduct.
5. Participants will learn how to address and enforce the new Code of Conduct per department policy.
